Meditation for a Modern World

Let's talk about meditation.  There are many types of meditation in the world. In my experience, anything can be done during and with meditation. The preconceived notion about meditation is to sit for hours in a lotus position in order to reach enlightenment. However, the purpose of meditation is to be present to create a space for healing, for awareness. And in doing this you can create and achieve anything.
The more present you are, the clearer you are. The clearer you are, the less you dilute your manifestation with negative thoughts. Meditation teaches you how to be present in as man moments as possible.

The whole goal for being present is to be able to intuit the most appropriate answer for your dilemma or situation, thereby initiating a healthy response to the world. When you're present you can make healthy, conscious choices. You help the world heal. When the world heals, beautiful opportunities increase and come your way. What goes around, comes around. You make wonderful choices; wonderful results come back to you.

One of the most direct and challenging ways to become present is to be still. Use your breath to become still and you'll enter the present moment. When you become present, the answer appears.

Allow life to become your meditation. Integration of body, mind, and Spirit is the goal. When you are present you are IN THE MOMENT.

The only place we are in sync with our intuitive wisdom is when we’re present. In this moment of wisdom you heal anything that’s ready and willing to be healed. You'll also become the catalyst for extraordinary manifestations.

BE STILL doesn't mean that life around you has to be still in order for you to meditate.  You can get quiet inside while walking down the street. It is easier, however, to get focused when you're surrounded by quiet and sitting still. Teach yourself to quiet the mind and simply focus.

Here is a meditation you can do anywhere and it takes only 4 minutes, start to finish. Imagine…being able to center yourself, calm your mind, and de-stress your body in only 4 minutes!

Sit quietly with your palms in your lap, back straight, muscles relaxed. Close your eyes and inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth three times, nice and deep. Great.

Now breathe normally through your nose. Keep your focus on the rise and fall of your chest as you quietly inhale and exhale.

As your mind begins to wander bring your attention back to the rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale normally.

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale, exhale, and inhale into each moment as you exhale into the next moment.

Keep doing this and visualize your breath creating a bridge from one moment to the next.

Create one moment.

One moment.

Inhale and exhale into each moment and create a quiet space in your body and mind. Do nothing with this space.

This space is reserved for healing, and healing only.  In this space the answer will appear at the moment you need it to appear.

Act As IF to Get What You Want

If you’re seeking to manifest, act as if it’s already in your life. Because what you put out into the universe—through your actions, your focus, your behavior, your thoughts—will manifest, consciously or unconsciously.

Act AS IF by moving toward your goal with the most direct and appropriate steps. Take a risk and TRUST in what you can’t see. This shows the Cosmos that you trust in the UNISON of your self with Divinity. Now, this will throw the ego into a tailspin. Why? Because the ego likes to be in control. The ego says, “I need to see it or I won’t believe it. Prove it to me.” So by wholeheartedly believing and trusting, you’re telling the ego that’s it’s okay to let go, that merging biology and Divinity won't destroy you or hurt you. And when you do let go, something magical happens: your defenses suddenly disappear. And you manifest your goal in less time than you imagined.

In order to follow the simplest route to conscious manifesting it's key to understand one important concept that has become my creed, my axiom-

Wisdom comes from knowing the order of things. It came to me during a meditation many years ago. I live by this credo as often as I allow myself. And I find that in times when I’m stubborn or I doubt or resist, the thing that I attract slips away momentarily…until I'm ready to manifest it with a serious attitude and conscious actions.

Repeat this often each day: Wisdom comes from knowing the order of things.

Choice Gives You Back Your Power

You come into this life with challenges and eases. It’s all a blessing. If you’re paying attention you learn from it all--the end of a romance, the death of a child, the stalling of a creative process, poor health, or even hooking up the computer. Every situation tests your patience and brings up issues of faith and trust in Something greater. You look for proof that you matter, that Divinity exists and isn’t sleeping, or that there is something more to life.

If I am are here now doing what I'm supposed to be doing in order to learn from a life-lesson, such as a boring job or poverty, then why should I visualize a better job?

“Supposed” to be doing? Maybe it’s about choice! If you’re learning something honest and truthful about yourself in that boring job then stay with the job. As soon as it no longer challenges you to be more of who you are then know it’s time to go. Remember, if something limits your growth, it no longer serves you. Let it go. If you find judgment in any job, action, or thought then there is more ‘work’ to be done. When you feel complete with an action or thought then it's time to move on. Karma completed. You came to this Earth to make a decision about who you are and to VALUE that decision no matter what.

Eventually you must ask of yourself, “What is it that I truly, truly value?” Value who you are and you'll harmonize with who you are becoming. Pure Conscious Love is, ever was, and ever will be-YOU.

As you begin to manifest, know that everything you need is already in this world and it awaits your decision to choose.

Instead of seeing yourself as having to go out into the world to ‘get something,’ feel yourself standing perfectly still in the wisdom that  IT ALREADY EXISTS and ATTRACT IT to you.

All you need to do is bring it into your life by trusting that your needs are met.  Choose what it is you intend to manifest. This is called the Law of Attraction. You are the magnet. You have the power to magnetize.  Manifestation is the power to create something from thin air.  Repeat after me, “I trust that my needs are met. My needs are met…EVEN IF I don’t know how to meet them.”
